The Department of Meteorology says a few showers are expected today (15) in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North Western provinces, and the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.

Mainly dry weather is expected elsewhere across the island.

Strong winds of 40–50 km/h are forecast in several areas, and the public has been advised to take precautions.
