A delegation of members representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and the United National Party (UNP) is currently on an official visit to China.
SLPP member Milinda Rajapaksha had last week stated on social media that the delegation was in China on an invitation extended by the Communist Party of China (CPC).
He had also stated that the delegation consisted of 10 SLPPers led by State Minister D.V. Chanaka and five UNPers led by the President’s Senior Advisor Ruwan Wijewardene.
“We are learning about poverty alleviation, rural development, public private engagement, and the CPC,” Rajapaksha added.
Rajapaksha and Wijewardene had both posted pictures of the SLPP-UNP joint delegation in China on their social media accounts last week.
