Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya, in her May Day message, emphasised that the Government’s primary goal is to ensure fair and equal access for all citizens.

She stated that it is the responsibility of the government to create conditions where everyone can lead a dignified working life.

The Prime Minister also noted that key priorities include establishing a national social security system that recognizes unpaid labour and ensuring protection for such workers.
