Royal all-rounder Vimath Dinsara has been named as the skipper of the Sri Lanka Under 19 squad for the forthcoming Bangladesh Under 19 youth cricket series.

The series is scheduled to start on Saturday (26) at the Colombo CC Grounds.

Sri Lanka Cricket’s (SLC) Junior Selection Committee has named a 15-member team for the first two games on 26 and 28 April.

Dinsara cracked a superb hundred against Bangladesh in the previous edition played in the UAE while other youngsters to watch out in this year’s edition will be Viran Chamuditha, Kavija Gamage, Ramiru Perera, and K. Mathulan.

SLC said that ahead of the youth limited overs series, a warm-up fixture against the visitors had been lined up at the Colts Ground on Thursday (24).

Another Royalist, Ramiru Perera has been made the Captain of the 14-member squad for this match, with selectors expected to consider performances in the warm-up when naming the new squad after the first two matches.
