Last weekend saw some tantalising Schools Rugby President's Trophy Knockout Quarterfinal games in Colombo.

Royal College beat arch rivals S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia in an absolute style yesterday (22) in a splendid display of speed and vision. The lads from Reid Avenue recorded a 25-05 victory at the final whistle. The match was played at Havelock Park.

It was the Thomians who took early advantage with a try and put the favourites Royal under tremendous pressure.
