The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the implementation of the International Labour Organization Convention on Eradicating Violence and Harassment in the World of Work (C 190), the first international convention addressing this issue, the government announced.

The move aims to eliminate violence and harassment in private and informal workplaces, ensure safe and positive working environments, and support increased participation of women in the workforce.

The approval allows the introduction of necessary legal provisions to ratify and execute the convention, following its presentation to Parliament on 4 May 2021.
