Sri Lanka national cricket team defeated West Indies cricket team by 41 runs in the first ODI in Jamaica to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Chasing 304, the West Indies were bowled out for 262 in 49.2 overs. Captain Shai Hope top-scored with 56.

Earlier, Sri Lanka posted 303/7, with Pathum Nissanka scoring 79 and captain Kusal Mendis making 72. Dushmantha Chameera claimed 4 wickets as Sri Lanka secured victory.
