Road restoration work has begun in the Kotmale Panangammana and Kotmale Maha Peella Ella areas following damage caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

The work started on January 17 and is scheduled to continue until January 19.

The access road serving nearly 20 villages in Kotmale Panangammana had been washed away, affecting residents for almost two months.

Labour teams from Anuradhapura and Ginigathhena are carrying out the work under the supervision of the Road Development Authority.
