• Seventh consecutive victory in 2025

Saluka Wijesiri scored a superb 73 inclusive of four fours and three sixes off 58 balls, while Chanaka Vithanage made an unbeaten 88 including eight fours in 87 balls, as the duo starred in the Legends of Richmond's 6-wicket win over Colombo Masters CA in a Masters 35 overs cricket encounter, played at Ratmalana recently.

This was also Richmond Legends seventh consecutive victory for the season. 

Colombo Masters batting first scored 221 for 7 in 35 overs with opener Damitha Kumarasinghe top scoring with 53 including four fours and two sixes off 55 balls.

For Richmond Legends Chanaka Vithanage and Thushan Jayawardena captured 2 wickets apiece. 

Legends of Richmond in reply got across the line with six wickets to spare.

Number three batter Saluka Wijesiri and number four batter Chanaka Vithanage, steadied the innings with a fine partnership of 142 runs. 

But, ultimately on the back of the fine knocks of Wijesiri, Vithanage and an unbeaten 37 from C. K. Hewamanna, Richmond reached the winning post with 13 balls to spare.

For Colombo Masters Sanjeewa Ranatunga bowled best to capture 2 wickets
