Deadline for voter registration ends today (1)

The closing date for individuals not listed in the 2023 electoral register to submit inclusion requests is set for today (1).


The Commissioner General of Elections, Saman Sri Ratnayake, has communicated that the draft of the 2023 electoral register is presently accessible for public viewing at Grama Seva Officers' offices, divisional secretaries' offices, and district election offices.


In tandem with traditional methods, requests for inclusion can be formally lodged through the official website www.elections.gov.lk. 


This mechanism facilitates eligible voters in ensuring accurate registration of their names within the electoral list ahead of the stipulated deadline.
