The Ministry of Education stated that 38 schools across Sri Lanka have been closed today (21) due to prevailing adverse weather conditions.

As of 9.00 a.m., 35 schools in the Central Province and one school each in the Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Western provinces were closed.

The Ministry noted that local education authorities have been given the authority to decide whether schools should conduct sessions under the current weather conditions.
