The Government has pledged full support to the ‘Ratama Ekata’ national initiative aimed at eradicating drug problems across the country.
Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), visited the Navy Headquarters to review the Navy’s efforts in this ongoing mission.
During his visit, he praised the Navy’s extensive operations both on land and sea, emphasizing the importance of strengthening and expanding these efforts with advanced technology.
He highlighted the Navy’s dedication in maintaining maritime surveillance and safeguarding future generations from the drug menace.
The Government expressed its appreciation for the Navy’s commitment, calling their work vital to building a drug-free and secure nation.
