The Election to appoint a new Chairperson of the Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) has been scheduled for 28 November.

Accordingly, the relevant Gazette notification has already been issued.

The Weligama PS former Chairperson Lasantha Wickramasekara, was shot dead inside his office on 22 October.
