Several spells of showers are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces, and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts today (26), the Department of Meteorology stated.

The Department noted mainly dry weather will prevail in the rest of the island.

Strong winds of 40–50 kmph are also expected at times over the western slopes of the central hills, the Northern and North Central provinces, and the Hambantota, Trincomalee and Puttalam districts.
