Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arun Hemachandra announced that the four Sri Lankans injured in recent attacks in the Middle East have been discharged from hospital and are currently recovering.
In a statement, Hemachandra said he had spoken via phone with three of the injured nationals, who confirmed their safety and good recovery.
Although the contact details of the fourth individual remain unreachable, the Deputy Minister confirmed that this person has also been safely discharged from medical care.
Hemachandra emphasized that the safety and well-being of Sri Lankan nationals abroad remain a top priority.
He added that Sri Lanka’s diplomatic missions in the region are actively monitoring the situation to ensure the continued safety of its citizens.
