President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has stated that a separate contingency fund will be allocated for each district under the next Budget.

He noted that the funds will allow District Secretaries to carry out urgent repairs to bridges, roads and public buildings without waiting for central approval.

The President made the remarks at the District Secretaries’ Conference held in Colombo.
