NSBM Green University cricket team showcased outstanding skill, teamwork and determination to emerge unbeaten champions at the SLIIT T20 Cricket Showdown 2025, competing against SLIIT, IIT, KDU, SLTC, Curtin, CINEC & NIBM University teams recently.

Dominating the first round with convincing victories against NIBM, CINEC and SLIIT, the NSBM team advanced to the semifinals, where they faced KDU University and secured a thrilling win by 8 wickets.

In the grand finale, NSBM once again faced SLIIT and clinched the championship with a commanding 5-wicket victory, powered by a game-changing innings from Dulaj Bandara (59 not out). 

Adding to the team’s success, Asitha Wanninayake was recognised as the Player of the Final, while Dilhara Polgampola earned the title of Best Fielder of the Tournament.
