Police have seized a bus suspected of transporting the gunman involved in the killing of an attorney-at-law and his wife at a parking lot within the Thalangama Police Division on 13 February 2026.

The Western Province South Crimes Division seized the vehicle during investigations. A separate inquiry by the Illegal Assets Investigation Division found that the bus had allegedly been purchased using proceeds from drug trafficking.
