The Matara Chief Magistrate's Court has reissued an arrest warrant for former Minister Basil Rajapaksa after he failed to appear in court for the second time.

The case relates to the alleged purchase of a 1.5-acre coconut estate in Matara for Rs.60mn.

The court also ordered his four sureties to produce him before court or explain why the bail bonds should not be forfeited.
