The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to construct a new three-story building for the primary section of Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala. 

The project, which has a budget of Rs. 392 million, is intended to replace the school's existing old and inadequate facilities.

The new building will feature 24 classrooms and other modern amenities, with construction scheduled to take place between 2026 and 2028. 

This project is part of the government's national investment plan.
