Leader of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) MP Rishad Bathiudeen has voiced concerns over the decision to repatriate Rohingya refugees currently seeking asylum in Sri Lanka. 

In a letter addressed to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, he emphasised the need to adhere to international humanitarian principles and safeguard the well-being of these individuals fleeing persecution in Myanmar.

Accordingly, he urged the Government to uphold its commitment to human rights by collaborating with the United Nations Organisation (UNO) to explore resettlement options in third countries.
