Showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces, and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts today (26), the Department of Meteorology stated.

Rainfall above 75 mm is likely in some areas, while strong winds of 40–50 kmph are expected in several provinces and districts.

The public has been advised to take precautions against strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
