Punchage Kalumenika, recognised as one of Sri Lanka’s oldest citizens, has passed away at the age of 114.

A resident of Sangili Kanadarawa in Rambewa, she was born on 4 July 1912 and was the mother of 12 children.

She lived to see several generations of her family, including 325 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
