A football match in the Hatton League Mayor's Cup tournament was disrupted after a clash broke out between players and spectators at the Hatton Dunbar Playground yesterday(11).

The incident occurred with seven minutes remaining in the match, when Young Mates FC was leading Norwood Sunrise FC 3-1. Police intervened and brought the situation under control.

Norwood Sunrise FC has requested that the remaining seven minutes be played at a different venue, while tournament organisers are expected to decide on the matter.
