The General Manager of Lanka Salt Limited has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

He is accused of causing a government loss of around Rs.14.3mn.

Police allege he provided undue benefit to a supplier by procuring “Lak Lunu” packaging for the Hambantota Salt Company without following proper procedures.
