The recent hacking of the official website of the Education Ministry has resulted in an investigation being launched into the incident to identify the anonymous hacker.
A recent statement issued on the incident stated that the probe was being spearheaded by the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) and the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL).
The Education Ministry had reportedly expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to users due to the hack and had assured the restoration of the official website.
