The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) reached a record high today (28) as the All Share Price Index (ASPI) crossed the 19,500 mark for the first time in its history.

The ASPI closed at 19,517.86 points, gaining 50.15 points and surpassing the previous record of 19,467.71 set on 25 July.

The S&P SL20 Index also showed gains, rising by 19.47 points to close at 5,774.51.

The day’s market turnover was strong, exceeding Rs. 6.16 billion, indicating continued investor interest and market momentum.
