The Police have warned the public to exercise caution when purchasing goods online or using courier services, amid an increase in scam incidents.
Consumers are advised to verify orders by contacting companies directly through their official telephone numbers, rather than relying on unsolicited messages or links.
The public has also been urged not to click on suspicious or unfamiliar links, particularly those requesting personal information or prompting users to “update details” via SMS or messaging platforms.
Police further cautioned that fraudsters are increasingly using fake websites designed to closely resemble legitimate platforms in order to steal personal and banking information.
