More than seven months after Cyclone Ditwah, 27 families in Ulpathagama, Kandaketiya, whose homes were destroyed, remain without permanent housing.

Affected residents say they have yet to receive sufficient assistance to rebuild their homes.

They also said authorities have begun a land allocation process through the Kandaketiya Divisional Secretariat for families who lost their houses.
