The Cabinet of Ministers approved the continuation of the Rs. 6,000 school stationery allowance for 2026.

The allowance will be provided to children from Aswesuma-entitled families, students in small schools, lay and monastic students in Pirivena and Seelamatha monasteries, and students in Child Development Centres.

The program will be implemented through the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Professional Education.
