The Sri Lanka Navy assisted in transferring a patient who suffered a sudden heart attack on Baththalangunduwa Island to Kalpitiya Base Hospital last night (17).

Naval personnel provided first aid before transporting the patient from the island aboard Inshore Patrol Craft P 233.

The patient was brought to the pier at SLNS Vijaya and then rushed to hospital for further medical treatment.
