The first phase of Sri Lanka’s inaugural cable car project is expected to be completed by October. 

The project, covering a 1.8 km distance from the Ambuluwawa Religious and Biodiversity Complex to the Ambuluwawa Hill summit, aims to enhance tourism, with a planned extension to Gampola Railway Station. 

The project, which was first proposed 18 years ago, is now being realized with the support of Chinese and American investors.
