Former Minister Namal Rajapaksa congratulated President Aruna Kumara Dissanayake and the National People’s Power (NPP) on their decisive victory in the Parliamentary Elections.

Rajapaksa expressed hope for NPP’s success in fulfilling the public mandate, adding that the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) remains committed to its supporters' values.

While Rajapaksa did not run in the election, he is on the SLPP’s national list.

The Election Commission (EC) has yet to confirm if SLPP will secure a National List slot, leaving his potential return to Parliament uncertain.
