Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation (SLIC) yesterday (1) announced the resignation of its Group Chief Executive Officer Chandana L. Aluthgama, effective from 1 August 2025.

Aluthgama assumed duties as the Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation in 2018.

His leadership continued with Sri Lanka Insurance Life Ltd. following the segregation on 1 February 2024.

Over his tenure, he has been instrumental in guiding the organisation through various transformations and achieving significant milestones, serving under five government administrations and collaborating with eight chairpersons.

In a statement, Aluthgama expressed his gratitude, noting that “leading Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation, and subsequently Sri Lanka Insurance Life Ltd., has been one of the key highlights of my career. This journey has been extraordinary, and I am honoured to have walked alongside such incredible colleagues.”

Aluthgama extends his heartfelt thanks to the Chairperson and board of directors, employees, customers, shareholders, and partners for their trust and support.
