The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Board (SLTDB) has revealed that it is likely for Sri Lanka to have received over 1 million tourists by the end of this year.
Accordingly, it is expected that a total of 1.5 million tourists will visit the island by the end of 2023.
SLTDB Chairman Priyantha Fernando stated that a total of 1.2 million tourists had visited Sri Lanka by the end of November, making 1.5 million a very likely achievement by the end of December.
The chairman further noted that due to the influx of tourist arrivals, an income of Rs. 1.75 billion was earned by the end of November 2023.
