Sri Lanka welcomed 191,704 international tourists in August, according to the latest figures released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
India was the largest source market with 47,253 arrivals, followed by the United Kingdom with 19,588 and China with 12,321.
Germany and France recorded 11,405 and 10,885 arrivals respectively.
Total tourist arrivals for the first eight months of 2026 reached 1,535,122, with India contributing 385,483, followed by the UK with 149,989 and China with 100,828.
