The National People’s Power (NPP) has secured control of the Kegalle Municipal Council with 5,004 votes and 12 seats.

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) followed with 1,444 votes and 3 seats, while the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) also secured 3 seats with 1,147 votes.

An independent group, the United National Party (UNP), and the People’s Struggle Alliance each won one seat.
