A 49-year-old businessman from Kurunegala’s Millawa area was found dead in a burnt vehicle in a forested area in Mahawa. 

The body was identified following a tip-off and matched with a missing person complaint filed by his wife. 

The man had reportedly left for a haircut on Wednesday (25) and never returned. 

Police are continuing investigations.
