Indian airline IndiGo launched a new direct flight service between Delhi and Colombo last Sunday (29) which operates six times a week using Airbus A320 aircraft, with the intention of strengthening tourism, trade, and business travel.

With this addition, IndiGo now operates more than 55 weekly flights to Colombo from five Indian cities: Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi. The airline also connects Chennai and Tiruchirappalli to Jaffna with 10 weekly flights.
