The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has decided to submit a no-confidence motion against Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne this Friday (9).

The decision was taken at a meeting of the SJB parliamentary group.

The motion has been drafted based on 49 allegations against the Speaker, with the signing process scheduled to begin today (6).

Meanwhile, Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara stated that the Speaker should resign before the no-confidence motion is brought against him.
