A yellow anaconda hatchling reported missing from the Dehiwala National Zoological Gardens has been found, zoo officials said. 

The snake was discovered inside an iron box within the Reptilium, less than 24 hours after the keeper in charge was suspended. 

The hatchling, measuring about 1.5–2 feet, was the only yellow anaconda at the zoo. 

It was among six snakes seized at Bandaranaike International Airport and handed to the zoo for quarantine on 15 September.
