US dollar selling rate shows slight decline in banks

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) says the US dollar buying rate was Rs. 331.66 and the selling rate was Rs. 341.30 today (30).


Licensed commercial banks also showed a slight decline in the selling rate, ranging between Rs. 340.50 and Rs. 342.00.


Selected bank rates include BOC at Rs. 332.00–341.00, People’s Bank at Rs. 330.20–340.58, and Commercial Bank at Rs. 330.55–340.50.


The CBSL says the rupee has depreciated by 8% against the dollar so far in 2026 due to external sector pressures.
