Sri Lanka will host one of the largest Indo–Sri Lankan collaborative events when India Week 2026 takes place from 20 to 30 March, 2026, bringing together leaders from business, culture, tourism and innovation.
Organised by the Indian Alliance, the festival will be held across Colombo, Kandy and Jaffna.
India Week aims to celebrate over 2,500 years of shared history and friendship between the two nations, while fostering new opportunities in trade, investment, technology, education, renewable energy and cultural collaboration.
The programme will feature high-level forums, exhibitions, networking sessions and cultural showcases, positioning Sri Lanka as a key hub for regional connectivity.
Public events will include the Indian Food Festival, Indian Film Festival, Fashion Week, Indian Expo, Holi celebrations, Bollywood Week and an Indian Awards Ceremony, with a strong focus on youth engagement, tourism promotion and corporate partnerships.
Organisers plan extensive media coverage across television, print, digital and social media platforms, supported by influencers and brand ambassadors to enhance global outreach.
The initiative is expected to generate over $35 million in media value, boosting Sri Lanka’s international profile while strengthening Indo–Sri Lankan relations and business linkages.
