The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs met in Parliament under the chairmanship of Ananda Wijepala.

Members of Parliament discussed several issues related to police services, including strengthening police stations, ensuring police representation in District Coordination Committees and curbing illegal sand mining in the Kilinochchi area.

The meeting was attended by deputy ministers, MPs, the Inspector General of Police and officials of the Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs.
