The revised annual bus fare structure came into effect today (06), with fares increased by 12% to 20% following approval by the National Transport Commission (NTC).

The minimum bus fare has been raised from Rs. 30 to Rs. 34, while fares for luxury and expressway services have also been revised. The NTC stated that islandwide inspections will be carried out to ensure compliance.
