The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) says 78,125 dengue cases and 56 deaths have been reported in Sri Lanka so far this year.

A total of 1,097 new cases were recorded yesterday (21), while 162 MOH divisions remain classified as high-risk areas.

The Western Province has recorded the highest number of cases, with 41,236 infections, while Gampaha has reported the highest district total at 16,478.

Health authorities have urged the public to remove mosquito breeding sites and seek medical attention for fever symptoms.
