The restructuring of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has been postponed after the National Electricity Policy was not presented to the Cabinet on 23 February.

Four of the five restructuring phases have been completed, and the liquidation date will be announced once Cabinet approval is obtained.

The CEB had earlier indicated that the gazette notification for the policy would be issued on 28 February.
