Sri Lanka Customs has reported a record revenue collection of Rs. 253.15 billion in September 2025, marking a 74.6% increase compared to the same month last year.
In September 2024, revenue stood at Rs. 144.97 billion.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s trade deficit narrowed to $414.2 million in August 2025, down from USD 422.3 million a year earlier, driven by stronger export growth.
According to the Central Bank, exports rose by 4.1%, while imports increased by 2.6% during the same period.
