President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is in the United States to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), has met with his South African counterpart, President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The meeting took place at the ONE Plaza in New York, according to the President’s Media Division(PMD). 

President Dissanayake arrived in the United States yesterday (23) and is scheduled to deliver his address to the UNGA today (24) at 3:15 pm US time.

During his visit, the President is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with the UN Secretary-General and several other world leaders. 

He is also set to meet with members of the Sri Lankan community in the United States.
