Calling all Local and Int’l Participants: Ceylon Masters International Badminton Tournament: 25-29 June

The upcoming badminton tournament organised by Ceylon Masters Badminton will be conducted in accordance with the statutes and general competition regulations of the Badminton World Federation.

Tournament officials confirmed that the referee’s decision will be final in the event of any dispute during matches.

Clothing, equipment and advertising regulations, in line with BWF General Competition Rules 20–24, will be enforced from the quarterfinal stage onwards. Matches will be played in a best-of-three games format to 21 points, in accordance with BWF Statute 4.1.

The organisers have also outlined key dates for the tournament schedule. Entries will close on 30 May 2026, followed by the publication of the M and Q report on 7 June. The seeding report is scheduled for release on 15 June, while the withdrawal deadline is set for 18 June, with written notification required.

The draw will take place on 20 June at Ceylon Masters Badminton and will be accessible via its official Facebook page. The tournament is set to commence on 25 June.

Organisers stated that withdrawals made after the draw will incur a penalty of LKR 5,000. Participants who fail to settle the penalty within 14 days of the tournament’s conclusion will face a 12-month suspension from CMB-sanctioned tournaments. No refunds will be issued after the draw has been finalised.

All Players must be registered with CMB using the following portal and submit the entry only through the CMB Online Entry Portal.

SLB Registration alone will not qualify for entry. CMB Player Registration and Identity Number is compulsory for both Local and Foreign Players.

A special entry fee discount of 10% will be available to players who register before 31 May.
